    Type N Bifacial Solar Modules

    • Double-sided modules combine leading NTOPCon, 9BB and half cell technology.
    • The N-type material has zero LID / LeTID risks and makes the modules more reliable, more bi-ease, higher efficiency, lower temperature coefficient and longer life.

    The effect of Maysun N-type double-sided solar cells on light-induced attenuation. The main problem of the P-type battery is the attenuation caused by the boron-oxygen pair, while the phosphorus-doped N-type battery has a very low boron content, which essentially eliminates the effect of boron-oxygen on the light-induced attenuation.

     

     

     

    No Light Induced Degradation

    TOPCon is a N-type silicon substrate battery. Phosphorus doped N-type crystalline silicon contains extremely low boron content, which weakens the boron-oxygen influence.
    Maysun N-type double-sided solar cell structure diagram: Mixing pure silicon with phosphorous atoms requires very little energy to make a certain “excess” electron of the phosphorous atom (the outermost five electrons) escape. When phosphorus atoms are used for doping, the resulting silicon is called N-type ("n" stands for negative electricity). Phosphorus is injected into the N-type semiconductor material to form a p/n-type solar cell called an N-type silicon wafer; a solar cell made of it is called an N-type cell.

    The TOPCon battery retains and utilizes the existing traditional P-type battery equipment manufacturing process to the greatest extent. It only needs to increase the boron expansion and thin film deposition equipment, and does not require back hole opening and alignment, which greatly simplifies the battery production process and reduces the difficulty in mass production.
